Paramakudi & Mudhukulathur in ADMK's Confident List ....
In Paramakudi constituency, 11 candidates are in fray. Dr. Sundararaj from ADMK, Ramprabu from congress, Gandhi from BSP, Nagarajan from BJP , Saravanakumar from TMMK and other 6 are independents. Sundararaj expected to win. Despite Saravanakumar is contesting with JP’s blessing he may NOT able to split considerable votes since people may NOT vote for anybody contesting in TMMK ticket. Total number voters are 2,01,912. In 2006 Sunraraj was defeated by the margin of 1054 votes! Thirumalai Raja of DMDK voted 4554 votes. This time DMDK and ADMK are in alliance. Ramprabu is a cake walk for Sundararaj. Victory for ADMK is confirmed, people of Paramakudi constituency are waiting to see the margin.
In Mudhukulathur constituency, 8 are contesting. Murugan from ADMK, Sathiyamurthy from DMK, John Pandiyan from TMMK ,Shanmugaraj from BJP, Chandrasekaran from JMM and 3 others are independents. Total number of voters are 2,54,552. The fight would have been tough between ADMK and DMK if JP had NOT contested. JP’s boon for ADMK and ban for DMK. Even if JP is voted In 2006, Shanmugaraj fought on BJP seat and got only 2178 votes despite Shanmugaraj belongs to SC. In 2006 difference between DMK and ADMK was slightly more than 10,000. DMK got 51555 and ADMK is voted 41034. Anti incumbency and wide spread corruption with JP’s vote splitting will add advantage for the ADMK. Even if JP’s voted 15,000 votes it’d be great benefit for ADMK.
