The NDA swept 73 seats out of 80,
the BJP with 71 and Apna Dal secured 2 seats. The Samajwadi Party , SP, and the
Congress backed 5 and 2 seats respectively.

The NDA with 43.32% swept 73
seats ie 91.25% of total 80 seats. The SP with 22.18% secured only 5 seats (ie
6.25% of total seats) and the Bahujan Samaj Party,BSP, with 19.62%
drawn none. With respect to 2012 assembly elections in UP , the BJP gained from
14.5% to 42.32%. The SP from 29.15% to
22.18 and the BSP 25.91% to 19.62%, the Congress from 11.63% to 7.47%. The Aam
Aadmi Party is polled with 8,21,301 votes. The AAP which contested in 76 seats expect
Arvind Kejriwal
every one lost so badly. The AAP secured 1.013% of total votes.
