KNMK

In 2009 General Elections, the KNMK contested in 12 parliamentary constituencies which spreads across 72 assembly constituencies and totally got 5,79,060 votes. Performed well in 4 parliamentary seats. These 4 parliamentary seats cover 24 assembly constituencies.

In sum it’s 4,32,453 votes. In 2009 GE, all 4 seats won by AIADMK alliance. Pollachi and Tiruppur by AIADMK, Coimbatore and Erode by CPM and MDMK respectively. Out of 24 assembly constituencies ADMK+ led in 19 and DMK+ led in 5.

Out of these 15, Dharapuram and Gobichettipalayam may be given to Congress and Namakkal to the DMK. Avanashi will NOT be preferred by KNMK since it’s reserved.

The KNMK is given 7 assembly seats in 2011 as part of DMK alliance. We’ll get into more analysis once the seats finalized.
